Ogilvy PR acquires a new client, the BILLA chain
The BILLA ČR chain has chosen Ogilvy PR in a tender for PR services. The agency has been providing communication activities for the new client since 1 April, focusing on corporate, product and CSR topics, including crisis communication. Ogilvy PR also won the internal communication part of the tender, which also includes the preparation of BILLA's internal magazine called Together. The cooperation was signed between BILLA and Ogilvy PR for a further period of up to three years.
In addition to Ogilvy PR, the three-round tender, which took place in February and March, was attended by leading PR agencies with relevant experience in the field of public relations. "The form of the tender was quite atypical for us, as we solved the case study with the team on the spot within the time limit immediately after we were informed of the assignment," explains Václav Rambousek, Account Director at Ogilvy PR. "On the spot, we managed to come up with a creative concept and solution for the topic in a short time, which fits into BILLA's CSR strategy and thus represents one of the projects we will take on with the team in the future," adds Rambousek.
Ogilvy's PR division will take care of media relations, corporate, product and internal communications for the BILLA chain. "We believe that through our joint activities we will be able to strengthen the position of the BILLA brand on the Czech retail market. We will continue to build its long-term image with an emphasis on the availability of fresh food from Czech producers. At the same time, we will focus more on raising awareness of our private brands, such as Vocílka, Česká farma, Clever or BILLA," adds Dana Bratánková, Corporate Communications Manager and spokesperson for BILLA ČR.
Ogilvy PR will also be in charge of internal communications, which includes, among other things, the preparation of the Together magazine. "We employ over six thousand employees, so internal communication is absolutely essential for us. The magazine Společně is one of its important pillars. This year we are planning a partial transformation of the content to make it even more attractive to our employees. This will be one of the first tasks we will work on with the new agency," explains Dana Bratánková.
The cooperation officially began on 1st April. "I am particularly happy about the cooperation with BILLA because it will once again complement our client portfolio with a retail chain. Our PR Consumer team at Ogilvy specializes in retail communication and I am glad that we will be able to apply our strong experience from the fast-food segment and the food sector here as well," concludes Václav Rambousek, Account Director at Ogilvy PR.
