The system crashed. The census continues.
Spring 2021. Covid, lockdown, low confidence in the government. A bad constellation for the first online Census. And on the first day, the system crashed! Reputations suffered, the success of the "statistical survey of the decade" was at stake. But a quick response and fair dealing with the media got it back on track over the weekend. For the next month and a half, we brought journalists exclusive behind-the-scenes information day after day. Thanks to this, the Census also gained sympathy, and more people than expected ended up being counted online.
